Lower Leg
The lower leg is the part of the leg between the knee and the ankle and is made up of the tibia and fibula bones. The calf is the back portion and the shin is the front.
The lower leg is susceptible to a wide range of various injuries due to the repetitive forces exerted during weight bearing movements such as running, jumping and twisting. These may be simple soft tissue injuries such as sprains or strains or may involve injury to the tibia &/or fibula bones.
