Soft Tissue Massage

Soft tissue massage involves mobilising the soft tissues of the body with the therapists’ hands. The target structures include muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia. The benefits of such may include increased flexibility and range of movement, reduction of swelling, reduction of pain and improved movement and function. Soft tissue massage is usually most effective in conjunction with other modalities such as manual therapy, ultrasound therapy, exercise and sport specific rehabilitation.
